Pictures of my hands and feet were made in natural light from a camera pointing upwards from near the floor to the edge of my bed where I lay with the rest of my body out of view. The light background is the ceiling of the room above me. The first such images were made in several shoots in 2022 the summer after my wife passed away. I walk regularly in natural settings near my home, and I felt an association between the upward facing position of the camera in the captures of my limbs and the upward tilt of my head to view the canopy of trees above as I walk. In 2023 I made several shoots to record this and also did more shoots of my hands and feet.
