Viewing art is a ritual for making ourselves open, and my photography explores that. Making a photograph is viewing as action. My participation is a gesture that shapes its access.

   

    Daniel Georges works in photography and sculpture in Walden NY and Brooklyn NY, producing primarily photography since 2016. He has shown his photography in Watsonville CA (two person exhibition 2023) and has a portfolio of pictures in the May 2024 issue of "december" literary magazine. He is active with the Fix photo collective in the Mid-Hudson valley and with the Center for Photography in Woodstock. He has shown sculpture including group shows at Artist Space, NYC, MIT List Center, Boston, PS 1, Queens NY and one person at PSU gallery, Portland OR where he was a teaching associate. Organized shows for Franklin Furnace, NYC and an international traveling exhibit originating at Museum of Arts and Crafts, Itami, Japan that traveled to 7 venues in 6 countries. Received MFA in sculpture from School of Visual Arts, NYC and studied photography at International Center of Photography also in NYC.
