Each Street Montage is made up of two images placed together with a single central vertical seam. The images were all captured in public, mostly from a moving car. Determining where in the montage to create the seam defined each composition in both space and time. Street Montage developed out of the Lot Lines series which were also captured in public and include strong central vertical axes. As we all lived through the Covid pandemic, I was searching for ways to bring a sense of time and how it feels being human into the shifted centers of attention found in Lot Lines. Street Montage is what eventually came up.
